♬ RGBeats! ♬
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
About
♬ RGBeats! ♬ is a game for RGB keyboards. The keyboard layout is automatically detected and the game should work for QWERTY, QWERTZ, AZERTY, Dvorak, Colemak, Workman, etc.
Number keys 1 to 8 light up with random colors. Toggle the three keys under a number key on or off to match its color.
For a QWERTY layout, the row keys under the number key row (QWERTYUI) correspond to red, the next row keys (ASDFGHJK) correspond to green, and the next next row keys (ZXCVBNM,) to blue.
Examples:
- If key 1 is green, the A key (green) should be toggled on, while Q (red) and Z (blue) should be off.
- If key 2 is magenta, the W (red) and X (blue) keys should be toggled on, while S (green) should be off.
- If key 3 is white, keys E (red), D (green), and C (blue) should be toggled on.
A column of light travels from the left to the right, similar to the playhead of an 8-step audio sequencer. A drum sound is played each time the playhead hits a toggled-on key (lit up). If the playhead hits a number key and the color combination of the keys under it matches the number key color, the player scores a point and the number key color is cleared.
The keys F1 to F8 serve as the health bar and health is reduced whenever a number key color is not cleared after some time. The game ends when health becomes zero.
